Ghada Almadbouh is an assistant professor at the Department of political science at Birzeit University/Palestine since 2012. She also teaches at the Department of philosophy and Cultural Studies. AlMadbouh is a graduate of the University of Maryland/College Park with a PhD in Political Science. She had also earned her Post-Doctorate from the program of “Europe in the Middle East-The Middle East in Europe affiliated with the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin and the Free University in Berlin. She is the Director of Research at the Palestinian American Research Center. AlMadbouh is a specialist in democratization, social movements, and political Islam. She writes about the Palestinian political system. Recently she has been working on a project related to the social history of education in Palestine. She is also interested in gender studies and gender activism.
