Al-Assadi is a PhD scholar in economic development studies - economics of armed conflicts at Ruhr University in Germany. He has a Master degree in economic transformations in the Arab region from Damascus University and the University of Marburg in 2011. He participated in several studies and research reports prepared by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia between 2013-2016.
